Labrador tea (Rhododendron tomentosum)

Smudging with bog rosemary is part of witch rituals. Its strong aroma also exerts an effect on the human nervous system that has not yet been truly studied, opening clairvoyant abilities. The word "bog rosemary" comes from the Old Slavonic word "bagulit", which means – to poison. It is indeed poisonous – its leaves, bark, roots, and flowers. The plant has an intoxicating smell, from which the head may spin and ache. Hence its second name "swamp madness" or "hemlock". Therefore, after working with this plant, one must thoroughly wash hands with soap and ventilate the room.
